What it is for

Three honest reasons.

Before a first date

Is the person on the app who they say they are? A face that appears under a different name on three networks answers that in a minute.

When the photos belong to someone else

Romance scams reuse a stranger's whole album. Face search finds the real owner of the pictures.

When your own image was taken

Find out whether your face is being used on profiles that are not yours.

How it works

Three steps, ninety seconds.

No signup and no app to install. Sherlock runs in the browser you already have open.

01

Upload a photo

One clear photo of a face. The larger the face in the frame, the more profiles Sherlock can find.

02

Sherlock sweeps the platforms

Social networks, dating apps, forums and personal pages are cross-referenced in one pass.

03

See where the face appears

Every profile found arrives with its platform, a direct link and a similarity score.

Privacy

The photo goes in, disappears, and nobody is told.

A face is sensitive data almost everywhere. Sherlock is built around that: the search happens and the trail does not stay.

The photo is not kept

It goes to the search and is discarded as soon as the result is ready. It never enters an index and is never sold.

Nobody is notified

The people found are never told. You do not appear to them anywhere.

The result is yours alone

No public page is ever created about the person you looked up.

Gone in one tap

Deleting the account wipes the whole history, with no email and no reason asked.

Compare

How Sherlock compares.

Most face-search tools give you a pile of vague results. Sherlock scores every match, keeps your search private, and deletes your photo after.

What people say.

Such a cool app. I was fairly skeptical but cannot believe it actually found every single person I put in.
Jordan K.
I got this app thinking it was not going to work and I was amazed. Tried it and it worked, 10/10.
Alex M.
It worked pretty good. I used a random picture and it brought up every known account that I had.
Sam D.
Used it before a first date. A minute later I knew exactly who I was talking to.
Priya N.
The similarity score is the part that matters. You can tell a guess from a certainty.

Fast and to the point. No signup, no runaround.

FAQ

The questions people actually ask.

It locates the face in the photo, marks 468 landmarks (eye corners, nose tip and bridge, mouth line, jaw curve) and turns the distances between them into a numeric vector. That vector is compared against faces appearing on public pages. What is compared is geometry, not the photograph.

No. It goes to the search provider to run that one search and is discarded afterwards. Sherlock never adds it to a public index, never attaches it to anyone's profile and never sells it.

No. There is no notification, no follow and no profile view. Your results are private to you, and no public page is ever created about the person you looked up.

No. It only reads pages any visitor can already open. Private accounts, closed groups and anything behind a login are out of reach, and no legitimate tool gets past that.

Sherlock searches publicly available information for personal safety and verification. You are responsible for using the results lawfully. It is not a consumer reporting tool, so results may not be used for employment, housing or credit decisions.

How close the geometry of the face found is to the one you uploaded, from 0 to 100. Above 90 it is almost certainly the same person. Between 80 and 90, open the link and confirm with your own eyes. Below that, treat it as a lead, not an answer.

One search and you know who you are talking to.

Ninety seconds and you have the list of where that face appears.
