Privacy policy
Last updated: 3 September 2026.
1. The most sensitive data: a face
Biometric data is special-category personal data under the GDPR and equivalent laws. Processing here rests on your explicit consent, given when you upload a photograph to search. You can withdraw it at any time by deleting your account in the app.
2. What happens to your photograph
- The image is analysed on your device to locate and frame the face. No server is involved in that step.
- The cropped frame is sent to the search provider only to run that one search.
- We do not keep the photograph. It never enters a public index, is never attached to anyone's profile and is never sold.
- Results stay on your device, in browser local storage.
3. What stays on your device
The app stores locally: your automatically generated detective name, your chosen language, the number of searches left and your search history. None of it is sent to a server of ours and none of it identifies you.
4. Third parties
- Face search provider — receives the cropped frame to run the search.
- Payment processor — receives payment details directly; we never see or store your card number.
We use no analytics, no advertising pixels and no third-party trackers. Opening the site makes no request to any other domain.
5. Your rights
You may confirm processing, access, correct, port, withdraw consent and request erasure. Because the history lives on your device, erasure is immediate: one tap on Delete my account removes everything.
6. Children
The service is not for anyone under 18 and photographs of children must not be uploaded.
7. Security
Traffic is encrypted. The search provider key lives only on the intermediate server and never reaches the browser.
